Why making time to keep your site up to date is important
Sunday, 1 January 2006
Have you ever gone to a web site that says "last updated 12 Nov 2002"? I know I have, and if you're like me, you probably would have been frustrated that you've taken time to visit a potential supplier online and found the experience lacking. A company that has outdated information in the marketplace is not going reach its full sales potential. A website costs you money, and if you're not keeping your investment up to date, you should seriously consider why you are spending money on it in the first place.

Over the years many people say "but hey, I don't have anything "new" to promote / talk about". Every industry has something they can talk about – trust me. It may be more challenging for some but the content is there. If you don't have time to write the content yourself either delegate or hire a professional copywriter to help you out.

Another big benefit of keeping content on your website up to date is that search engines like Google – will rank sites higher in search results if their content is keep up to date. So if you are hoping to boost your rank, up to date content on your website will help you attain this goal.
